Somalis (Somali: Soomaali, Arabic: صوماليون ) are an ethnic group inhabiting the Horn of Africa (Somali Peninsula). The overwhelming majority of Somalis speak the Somali language, which is part of the Cushitic branch of the Afroasiatic family.
